World of Hyatt introduced Milestone Rewards to the program to award members starting from 20 to 100 nights within a calendar year.
Some of Milestone Rewards are automatic, you don’t have to choose, but at 40, 70, 80, 90, and 100 nights, you must take action within a specified time frame or lose it.
You can access World of Hyatt here.
Milestone Rewards
There is no action needed from you at 20, 30, 50, and 60 nights. You must, however, act at other thresholds, or you won’t get anything.
What to choose at 70, 80, 90, and 100 nights? Suite upgrade awards are valid for a stay of up to 7 nights each.
Looking at my account, I currently have 11 of these Suite Upgrade Awards unused, which makes my choice to choose 10,000 points at each of the four thresholds of 70, 80, 90, and 100 easy for a total of 40,000 points.
Conclusion
These Suite Upgrade Awards are good if you want to confirm your upgrade in advance. I tend to stay at full-service properties outside of North America, where your status usually is enough to get you in a suite, and confirming one in advance is not required.
These make the most sense for highly sought-after leisure properties in North America and the Caribbean, where upgrade space is limited.
I wish Hyatt had these Milestone Rewards past 100 nights as Hilton Honors have.
