What is the promotion?
Registered Hilton Honors members will earn Double Points for stays during the Promotion period. “Double Points” means members will receive a bonus equal to the number of Base Points earned during a stay. Members will earn an additional 1,000 Bonus Points each time they stay at a new brand within the Hilton portfolio during the Promotion period.
What is the promotion period for the “Double Up & Explore” Hilton Honors promotion?
January 1, 2023, through April 30, 2023 (‘promotion period’)
How will the 1,000 Bonus Points per new brand be awarded?
1,000 Bonus Points will be awarded for each different brand stayed at during the promotional period. The 1,000 Bonus Points will only be awarded for the first stay at a brand during the promotion period. Completing two or more stays at the same brand in the promotion period will not earn additional 1,000 Bonus Points.
For example, if a member completes a stay at a Canopy in the promotion period, they will receive 1,000 Bonus Points for that stay. If the member stays at another Canopy during the promotion period, they will not earn another 1,000 Bonus Points. But if the member stays at a different brand, such as Hampton, they will earn 1,000 Bonus Points for that stay because it is a different brand than their first stay during the promotion period.
How will the Bonus Points be awarded?
Example A: An Honors member stays 2 nights at $100 a night and earns 2,000 Base Points and 3,000 Bonus Points for a total of 5,000 Points.
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 2 Nights = 2,000 Base Points
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 2 Nights = 2,000 Bonus Points
This is the member’s first stay in the promotion period at a Canopy, earning 1,000 Bonus Points.
Example B: An Honors member stays 4 nights at $100 a night and earns 4,000 Base Points and 5,000 Bonus Points for a total of 9,000 Points.
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 4 Nights = 4,000 Base Points
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 4 Nights = 4,000 Bonus Points
This is the member’s first stay in the promotion period at a Hampton, earning 1,000 Bonus Points.
Example C: An Honors member stays 2 nights at $100 a night and earns 2,000 Base Points and 2,000 Bonus Points for a total of 4,000 Points.
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 2 Nights = 2,000 Base Points
- 10 Points per USD x $100 x 2 Nights = 2,000 Bonus Points

If I already have a reservation, is it eligible for the promotion?
Yes, as long as the member is registered for the promotion prior to check-out of the stay and the reservation is for an eligible stay. Regardless of when a reservation was booked, any registered guests with nights within the Promotion period will receive the promotion bonus.
If I check-in before January 1, 2023, or check-out after April 30, 2023, do I still earn credit for that stay?
Registered members checking in before January 1, 2023, will receive credit for their stay if the stay is completed on or after January 1, 2023, and prior to or on April 30, 2023. If you start a stay in the middle of the promotion period and check-out after April 30, 2023, you will not receive the bonus.
Will I receive Bonus Points with the “Double Up & Explore” promotion for any stays within the promotion period that I completed PRIOR to registering for the promotion?
No. Only members registered prior to check-out will receive Bonus Points with the “Double Up & Explore” promotion for nights within the promotion period.
When will the Bonus Points post to my Hilton Honors account?
Please allow 6-8 weeks from the completion of your stay for the Bonus Points to appear in your Hilton Honors account.
Will I earn Bonus Points for Reward Stays with the “Double Up & Explore” promotion?
Yes, as long as a member earned Base Points as part of the Reward Stay members will earn Bonus Points based on their number of Base Points earned.
